Tanya Agler remembers the first set of Harlequin books her grandmother gifted her, and she’s been in love with romance novels ever since. A former past president of GRW and a Maggie Award recipient, Tanya is a graduate of the University of Georgia (with a degree in journalism and a law degree) makes her home in metro Atlanta with her wonderful husband, their four children, and a lovable rescue beagle. She’s published five novels with Harlequin Heartwarming, and her sixth, The Firefighter’s Christmas Promise, is scheduled for an October 2022 release. When she’s not writing, Tanya loves classic movies, chocolate, and a good cup of tea. Visit her at or email her at

On your first editing pass, were there places in your work in progress that you wanted skip over? If so, it’s time to make your manuscript S-P-A-R-K-L-E. This workshop will cover seven areas to add layers and depth to your manuscript from starting strong (S) to ending stronger (E). Writers will leave with a question guide they can tailor on their own and send to beta readers.
